I started college in June of 2003 at California State University, Fullerton, or CSUF. I graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Child and Adolescent Development with a minor in English. I graduated again in 2011 with a single-subject teaching credential in English. I was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity (where I was also the New Member Chairperson and Vice President), the Inter-fraternity council (member at large), Camp Titan, a volunteer summer camp for disadvantaged children in Orange Country (where I was a counselor, Campfire/Spirit, and Director of Camper Management), and I was also a member of the Associate Students, Incorporated.
Located in Orange County, CSUF is two-hundred-and-twenty-three miles away and would take three hours and fifty-two minutes to drive to. Cal State Fullerton is a pretty large campus with the entire campus spanning over 236 square acres. In the Fall of 2015, 38,948 undergraduate students were enrolled in classes on campus and those students came from over 81 different nations. CSUF is approximately 23.2% White, 20.8% Asian/Pacific Islander, 37.2% Hispanic, 2.1% Black, and 0.1% American Indian. Cal State Fullerton is a public school and was founded in 1957. The mascot is Tuffy the Titan, an elephant. He's an elephant because the school used to have elephant races for fun on campus. Cal State Fullerton's colors are white, navy blue, and orange.
Cal State Fullerton offers 107 different degree programs in eight colleges (Natural Science and Mathematics, the Arts, Humanities and Social Science, Business and Economics, Education, Communications, Health and Human Development, and Engineering and Computer Science.
Per semester, Cal State Fullerton costs $2,736 for California Residents taking seven or more units at the undergraduate level. This does not include parking, books or supplies, food, or housing (dorms, fraternity/sorority houses, or off-campus apartments).
My college aspiration is to get my Master's degree in teaching or educational technology. Right now, I'm looking into school and the University of Southern California (USC) is my goal. USC is 190 miles from Laguna middle school and would take three hours and twenty minutes to get to (actually, it would probably take longer because USC is in the middle of Los Angeles and there's bound to be traffic).
USC is a private college located in Los Angeles, California and was founded in 1880. The campus of the University of Southern California is 226 square acres. Per semester, USC costs $24,732 per semester for an undergraduate taking 12-18 units. The price is the same for graduate students taking 15-18 units. In Fall 2015, 19,000 students were enrolled in classes at USC (undergraduate). The students were 17.9% Asian, 5.4% Black/African American, 12.5% Hispanic, and 33.7% White.
The colleges at USC are: Architecture, Art and Design, Business, Cinematic Arts, Letters, Arts, and Sciences, Communication and Journalism, Dance, Dentistry, Dramatic Arts, Education, Engineering, Gerontology, Health Professions, Law, Medicine, Music, Pharmacy, Public Policy, and Social Work.
The mascot for USC is the Trojan and Traveler, the white horse the Trojan rides on. The school's colors are cardinal (red) and gold.
